Decide the system

Decide: productive pattern, stored irregular, or stored zero form.

Regular

Productive spelling patterns cover most ordinary count nouns.

Irregular

The word changes form: child → children.

Zero plural

Singular and plural look identical: one fish → three fish.

Tips

Three Systems, Not One Rule

  1. Primero decide count + plural; luego pregunta si la forma se construye con un patrón o se recupera completa.
  2. No añadas -s automáticamente. Child cambia a children y fish puede mantener exactamente la misma forma.
  3. Aprende los irregulares como parejas completas: one child · two children.
